Sandy Vree is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She earned her Master of Arts in Counseling from Governors State University, and her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Business from Calvin College. Sandy has been at Olive Branch Counseling since 2012. She uses her life experience as well as her education in her practice. Her areas of professional experience include working with adolescents and adults dealing with a wide variety of issues, including anxiety and depression, anger, stress and adjustment, self-esteem, relationship conflict, life transitions and grief and loss. Sandy believes the counseling relationship is significant in the healing process and makes it a priority to create a warm, safe environment in which each client’s unique story can be heard. Using insight oriented therapy to bring clients to better awareness, she also utilizes cognitive behavioral techniques in helping clients reduce and manage symptoms they may have. She also uses Christian principles as directed by each client’s faith journey. She loves what she does and thanks all of her clients for granting her the privilege of working with them and for teaching her more about life and perseverance.
Sandy is mom to four children and one daughter in law. In her free time Sandy likes to read a good book, watch her son play basketball, go to the gym, fellowship and study with her women’s group at church and go out to eat with her husband.
