Kathryn is a masters level clinician who graduated from Trinity Christian College with a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Before moving to Chicago, she received her Bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University, where she also was on the swim team. She has experience working with adults, adolescents, couples, families, and children. Kathryn is currently working towards licensure as a professional counselor.

Kathryn provides a calm, empathetic presence in the counseling room. She has a desire to understand each of her clients and walk with them in healing the broken parts of their stories. Kathryn works from a psychodynamic, trauma informed approach drawing on mindfulness, attachment, and internal family systems theories. She believes in building on her clients’ strengths and uses her experience as a registered yoga teacher to build self-awareness around the mind-body-heart-soul connection. Kathryn believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship to make space for compassion in moments of shame and loneliness. She will collaborate with you to work towards a loving, compassionate connection with yourself and others.

When she’s not working, Kathryn loves spending time with her husband and two dogs, Rocky and Leo!
