Richard Yelnick

Richard Yelnick is a graduate of Trinity Christian College where he earned his Master's degree in Counseling Psychology. Before starting his master's program, Richard received his Bachelors degree at Trinity in Criminal Justice and Psychology. He was also a part of the baseball team at Trinity and helped lead them to their first ever Conference tournament Championship. In addition to his studies, Richard also coaches high school baseball part time at his alma mater, Lincoln Way West High School.

Richard has clinical experience working with children, adolescents, couples and adult individuals. Richard believes that making the difference in a young adult's life can help them achieve the goals they want to achieve. Richard creates a comfortable and safe work environment for clients to open up and form a good therapeutic relationship with his clients. Richard uses a cognitive behavioral approach when working with his clients. Richard focuses on helping his clients develop healthy coping strategies, challenging their cognitive beliefs and working on a client's emotions and how they express their emotions.

When he is not at the office Richard likes training his newly adopted German Shepard, coaching baseball and watching sports. Specifically, watching the Chicago White Sox and Miami Dolphins.
