Hillary Ray, MA Licensed Professional Counselor
Hillary Ray is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She completed her Master of Arts degree at Trinity Christian College. She is currently serving on Trinity Christian College’s Advisory Committee for their counseling program, with a specific focus on curriculum and student professional development. Hillary completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree at Bradley University, double majoring in drawing and sculpture. She enjoys incorporating artistic elements into her counseling sessions, should her clients be inclined!
Hillary specializes in Existential Therapy, which focuses on the exploration of fundamental human experiences such as choice, freedom, responsibility, and the search for meaning. This approach helps clients confront common existential issues such as self-discovery, the pursuit of authenticity, building meaningful relationships with oneself and others, and mortality,while providing clients with tools to navigate life’s uncertainty. Her mission is to support her clients in reconnecting to their highest selves through deep self-exploration, creative expression, meditation, and self-care practices.
Hillary has experience working with individuals, children, families, parents, couples, and co-parents. She has worked with clients regarding issues of anxiety, addiction, family members of addicts, agoraphobia, co-parenting after divorce or separation, mother/daughter relationships, adults on the spectrum, and LGBTQ+ support.
In her personal time, she enjoys reading, taking her dogs to different trails, meditating, jazz music, listening to podcasts, and gardening.
